We looked for a mall Santa to get Jeremy's first Christmas portrait, but Korea doesn't really have malls... or Santa. We even took the 45 minute bus ride to Gwangju- two weekends in a row- to look for St. Nick. Alas, all they had at Shinsaegae was an Alice in Wonderland display (at Christmas?). Defeated and dispirited, we thought we would have to have Jeremy's picture taken with the animatronic Santa outside the florist down the street, until Camille called and said she had just spotted Santa Claus and his elves down in Hadang posing for pictures and spreading holiday cheer. We packed up the boy and booked it to the #13 bus stop and just made it for the following pictures.

Walk the Dinosaur

Jeremy's paternal Grandma sent this dinosaur costume to us four months before Jeremy was even born. I don't know how she did it, but she sized it perfectly. Nearly too perfectly, in fact- if Halloween had come a day later, Jeremy would have done his trick-or-treating as a pirate while the too small dino costume sat home. It was a close thing. Here are some pictures from the Baby T-Rex's visit to his mom's school. The Boy looks none too happy in the first couple of shots, but he definitely gets into the Halloween spirit once he's surrounded by his many adoring fans.

Here are a couple pictures of Jeremy with our South African friend, Marcus. The first is from last night, the second is from Jeremy's "Welcome Party" on April 20th. It's amazing to see how far he's come in so short a time: back then all he did was lay around filling up diapers. These days, he's scooting around, laughing and smiling, and grabbing at people's faces. (Better keep that beard trimmed Marcus: that boy has a hell of a grip.)

BTW: he still lays around filling up diapers.
